Electronics and Computer Engineering
Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering* is an interdisciplinary course with the intake of 60. The department has well qualified and experienced staff to cater the University curriculum. All Laboratories are well equipped with latest software and hardware. Department has 101 computers with latest configuration and necessary peripherals to fulfil the students requirements. The available licensed software are Xillinx, NI Lab View, Matlab, ALTIUM Designer, Mentor Graphics EDA tools and Multisim. Various workshops /seminars/value addition programs in collaboration with industries such as FOX Solutions India Pvt. Ltd, OS3 Technology on VLSI Design, Lab View programming, Internet of Things, Matlab programming, PLC and SCADA, Variable Frequency Drives, Robotics are organized regularly for the students.
The department has Electronics& Computer Engineering Student Association (EESA) under which different events like GD, Quiz, Circuit Design contest, debate, project exhibition, indoor and outdoor games are organized. Hobby club is established to make the student practically sound and develop their interest by implementing electronic Gadgets for variety of applications. Guest lectures/Seminars on Advancement in Technology, Entrepreneurship development, Competitive Examinations (GATE/GRE/TOFEL), Social awareness/responsibilities, are arranged for the students. The department organizes various Technical events on State/National levels.
Department has signed MoU’s with TEXAS Instrumentation, Bangalore, CISCO Networking Academy, FOX Control India PVT LTD, OS3 Infotsch PVT Ltd, d’Cygnus Infosolutions and established Center of Excellence to impart the knowledge of latest technology.
The department has “Departmental Library” for the students with reference books, text books, competitive Exam Guides and Literature books. The uniqueness of the department library is activity “ VachanKatta” in which the faculty of the department donates technical/literature books on 15th Oct to pay tribute to Late. Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam sir. The library also contains different reference project as well as seminar reports. Considering overall development of students, the department has undertaken various personality development and value added courses with certification by reputed industry.
Department also runs IEEE Circuits and Systems student chapter under the IEEE Mumbai section to prepare students dynamically and meet the industry challenges.
